Obituary

Charlene C. Faith, 76 beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 19, 2021, with her family by her side.

Charlene was born in Winchester, Indiana to Charles McRose and E. Caroline Hall, on April 13, 1944. She graduated from Canoga Park High School in Los Angeles, California in 1961, and pursued administrative support training and roles with Atomics International, SimuFlight, Herman Miller, and First American Pension.

She met Carl Faith, while volunteering with the USO at George Air Force Base in California, where he was stationed. After completing his military service, they were married on June 27, 1964. She and Carl became Christians in the early years of their marriage and moved across the country, from upstate New York to southeast Arizona, before arriving in Arlington, Texas, where they raised their family and lived together for more than 50 years.

She loved her family deeply and she also particularly enjoyed preparing for and seeing others gather around the table for any event and especially holidays and was ever so generous with her time and talents. Holidays and special events were filled with many wonderful meals and memories.

She also loved children and taught Sunday School for more than 40 years, and after retiring from First American Pension continued to devote her time to family, friends and the service of her church and faith. She was a gifted, listener, advisor, confidant, cook, gardener, and seamstress. She also enjoyed her travels with relatives and friends.

Her loving and gracious spirit, her enduring patience, along with her faith and hope shaped her family and blessed the lives of so many.

Charlene was predeceased by her parents and brother, Steven Swiat. Left to carry on her legacy are her husband Carl Faith, the love of her life and husband of 56 years, her daughters and son and their spouses: Melanie and Andrew Grooms, Karla and Fred Monks, and David and Ginger Faith.

The service will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 3 p.m. and preceded by a time of visitation and viewing at 2 p.m. at the Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76013.

Charlene Faith and her husband have always been caring. They were more of grand parents to my son, Esosa. They would spend time with him and take him places like to the stadium. When he joined the Air Force, they always gave him advise and prayed for him. Charlene Faith lead my three kids to salvation and guided them on their Christian journey. Charlene was a God fearing woman. My family and I miss you so much. May your soul rest in peace.

Charlene, AKA, Sherrie, was my wonderful & caring Friend for over 50 years. She was a beautiful Christian woman, inside & out and the perfect example of the woman described in Proverbs 31. She will be deeply missed. Many Prayers are being lifted up for Carl. Melanie, Karla & David & their families. Glenda Maxey
