James Charles Wilbanks, 79, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 21, 2020.

Charles was born to Jimmie and Ruth Wilbanks on March 21, 1941 in Beaver, Oklahoma. He grew up in Borger, Texas where he meet the love of his life, Becky, in the 9th grade. Charles and Becky married in 1961 and moved to North Texas. After graduating from the University of North Texas, Charles went to work for LTV. He soon went on to start his own independent rep firm, N&W Sales, in 1972 where he thrived until retiring in 2005.

Charles was a loving husband, exceptional dad and perfect Pappy. He was the patriarch of our family and loved nothing more than being surrounded by his wife, daughters and granddaughters, who all adored him.

He loved golf and enjoyed playing at Shady Valley for over forty years and then at Mira Vista and Horseshoe Bay. Charles relished time at Lake LBJ and spent much of the past twenty years in the Hill Country.

Charles will be remembered for his generosity and kindness towards others. He took great pleasure in taking care of his family and always making life fun.

He will be missed more than words can describe. Charles is survived by his wife, Becky; his daughters Julee Batchelor and husband Eric and Jenny Speeg and husband Wayne; granddaughters Lexy and Lyndi Walters and Claire and Caroline Batchelor; Step Grandchildren Olivia, Jake and Halli Speeg.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Carroll and Ina Ruth Wilbanks; sisters Ruth Ann Smith and Carrollea Lawson.

I did not know Mr. Wilbanks, but I did know his daughter, Julee Wilbanks Bachelor, who is beautiful inside and out. Julee, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time. I love you!
