Dan was part of our Corporate Challenge bike team that I coached and a regular pick-up soccer game player at work. Though there were often some that were faster on the bike or more skilled on the field, no one was more positive or worked harder. He was one of the most positive people I ever knew and I am thankful to have been able to have known him. Despite his illness, I never heard him complain - which is why it was such a shock to hear of his passing. He was truly blessed to have such a loving family there to support him. We are all better for having had Dan as part of our lives.

Dan had the most incredible positive spirit. His attitude was absolutely contagious and every encounter you had with him lifted your spirits in some way. We were honored and so lucky to work with him daily. He will be dearly missed by all of his colleagues at Stryker, but most importantly by all the friends he blessed daily. Thoughts and prayers to your family who lost an incredible man in their lives. RIP our dear friend, The Hastings Family

Dan had the kindest heart and that is what I will always remember about him. And his humor. I could always count on him for a good laugh. Even as a write this with a heavy heart, my memories of Dan put a smile on my face. My thoughts and condolences are with you.
