Obituary

Edward "Eddie" Agustin Aguilar, beloved husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather died peacefully on February 4, 2021 at the age of 69.

Eddie was born on March 7, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to Agustin and Carmen Aguilar. Born and raised in Dallas, he spent his childhood days making lifelong friends and unforgettable memories.

At the age of 18 he volunteered for the U.S. Army with one of his lifelong friends Javier Granado, and brother-in-law Ernest Moya during the peak of the Vietnam War. He served in Vietnam from 1969-1971 and was honorably discharged in November 1971. Eddie was extremely proud of his military service.

He married Mary Moya, on June 6, 1971. Together they raised their children and later moved to Grand Prairie, Texas. In 2004 he gave his life to the Lord and enjoyed fellowshipping and worshiping at church. He wholeheartedly loved and served the Lord, and trusted Him completely. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on classic cars with his son, and attending car shows.

To our special Po Boys Classic Car Club family members Eddie & Mary sending our thoughts & prayers. The Aguilar family was a big part of this Car Club. At the Friday Night Cruise In, Local Car Shows, Special Events, Swap Meets & the Club Meetings we all knew Eddie’s Black 55 Chevy. There are so many stories we could tell from those events. He’s a bright star & candle. He will be miss. God needed Eddie to work on Classic Cars & he chose the best. Eddie’s working on & driving a classic car in heaven now with a big Trophy beside him. Waving with that big smile of his. A loved member of the Car Circuit. Blessed to know him. A true friend.
