Ike Clifford Heflin, 83, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 in Fort Worth.

Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Monday, January 4, at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas.

Ike was born on April 12, 1937 in Corsicana, Texas to John Vernon Heflin and Ellen Washburn Heflin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. An Arlington resident since 1961, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Kennedale. He was a longtime barber and owner of Heflin’s Hairport which he began in Arlington in 1961. Ike gave many of the area stylist and barbers a good start to their career. He loved the Texas Rangers baseball club and cut many of their hair back in the day.

Ike was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth Smith Heflin; and 4 sisters.

Survivors: Niece, Tracie Taylor; longtime friends and employee, Tammy Cobb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

What a great guy and even though he had lots of clients and we were just kids, he knew our names when we came to get our hair cut. He ran a successful business, was always eager to smile, make small talk and was a very good barber himself. God speed Ike !
