Obituary

Janell “Mama Bear” Snider, of Arlington, Texas, was called home to be with our heavenly father on Monday, July 20, 2020. She fought a long and courageous battle before joining her loving husband, Davis “Papa Bear” Snider of nearly 50 years at their new home in heaven.
Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington.
Janell was a devoted and loving wife, mother, granny and “GiGi” who placed her family above all else. She was a “blue-ribbon” cook and always loved cooking for her family. Born May 28, 1938, in Shreveport, Louisiana, she was from a large family with eleven siblings and survived by her sisters Helen Ramsey, Lucille Cottrell and Julie Harbour (Charles); children, Davis Wayne Snider Jr. and Brenda Neese (John); grandchildren, Stephen Snider, Justin Snider, Stacie Snider, Bradley Gantt (Kristen), Beau Gantt and Michele Flores (Walter); great-grandchildren, Maribel Flores and Kaylee Gantt; expected great-granddaughter, Leilani “Mo” Flores; step great-grandchildren, Jamie Phillips, Titus Phillips and Lillian Barnett, and extended family members, Jack Johnson (Lorraine), Johnny Johnson (Debbie), Jim Ballinger (Rose) and Marco Flores.
In lieu of flowers, the family request her memory be honored by donating to the COPD Foundation which can be made at: https://www.copdfoundation.org/pdfs/Donations/MailDonationForm.pdf

Sarah and I (Jack) loved visiting Janell in Dallas. We always felt welcomed by her and always loved to talk with her about everything. Janell and I took Sarah to the State Fair for the first time together. We will miss her.
