Obituary

Willie Martha “Grammy” Miller Kapper, 97, was welcomed into the arms of the LORD on Tuesday February 9 2021, and passed peacefully at home.

Martha was a loving and devoted Mother, Grammy, and the eldest of the 3 Millers girls, Jo Bess and Raynell, who her preceded in death.

She was born November 4, 1923 in Rowden, Texas and grew up in the Baird area. She graduated from Baird High School where she was affectionally known as “Moss”. She continued her education by attending Business School, where she would meet and soon marry Dude Kapper on May 17, 1943.

Their Travels took them West where she was blessed with the light of her life, Carolyn Ann Reynolds, who was born November 26, 1945, in Pueblo, CO. They then moved to Spokane Washington area where they lived several years , eventually relocating back to Texas, where she would spend the rest of her life, mostly in Arlington, Texas. She retired from American Can Company in 1984, as an Executive Secretary.
Martha was an “independent and vibrant woman, full of class and sass”! She loved to shop and had shoes to match every outfit.

She loved to spend time with her family especially with her sisters. Her fondest memories were trips with Raynell, her husband Mike, Jo Bess and her husband Dan, in the Mountains of New Mexico.

She is survived by her Daughter Carolyn Ann Reynolds of Arlington, Texas; Grandsons Stevie Houghton of Arlington, Texas; Danny Houghton and wife RuthAnn of Tom Ball, Texas; Granddaughter Wendi Young and Husband Kevin of Grapevine, Texas; Brother-in-law Dan Starnes of Odessa, Texas; Niece Kerry Williams and Husband Randy of Phoenix, Arizona; Nephew John B.
