Mary Bloomer Forrest, 80, beloved wife and mother, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 in Arlington.

Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Wheatland Bible Chapel, c/o Doug Rice, 3426 E. Perryton Drive, Dallas, TX 75224 (Memo-Mary Forrest), supporting missionaries spreading gospel all around the world.

Mary was born on July 31, 1939 in Homestead, Pennsylvania to John William Bloomer and Mary Constance McDowell Bloomer. Mary was raised in a Christian home and at age 11, trusted Christ as her personal Savior. Her favorite verse was from Deuteronomy 31:8, "And the Lord , He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you nor forsake you;do not fear nor be dismayed."

She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Duffs Iron City College in Pennsylvania. An Arlington, Texas resident since 2005, she was a member of Wheatland Bible Chapel in Duncanville.

Survivors: Husband, John Alexander Forrest of 57 years whom she loved dearly; son, John Forrest Jr. & daughter in law Shannon Forrest; and daughter, Liz Simoneaux & son in law Blane Simoneaux. She loved her 3 wonderful grandchildren, Duncan Simoneaux, Savannah Richardson and Ian Forrest.

Mary lived a beautiful life that glorified her Lord as she loved and raised a godly family and ministered with love and compassion to all around her. She had a gracious, quiet spirit and wanted above all else for people to see the light of Jesus shining through her.

I had to work today John, but watched this beautiful tribute on Livestream! Mary was a special person and I know you will miss her tremendously, but it is just a shirt while until we will all be there around the throne of God! Hang onto Jesus till then!
Love you,
