Obituary

Melvin Leroy Searles, age 55, passed away Friday, June 6, 2020 at MCA hospital in Arlington.

He was born to Clyde and Madge Searles in Gainesville, Texas on June 8, 1964. He grew up in Forney and graduated from Forney High School, class of 1982. He loved Nascar, target shooting, hunting and fishing, and will also be remembered for his sense of humor and love of jokes. He was in the construction materials testing industry for many years. He was together with his wife, Aileen Searles, for 19 years. They married in 2006 and lived in Grand Prairie, TX. He loved his family and will be greatly missed along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, and by Lisa Searles Nichols, mother of his 5 children.

He is survived by his wife Aileen Searles of Grand Prairie, TX; daughter Kayley Searles of Dallas, TX; son Keaton Searles of Terrell, TX; son Kyler Searles of Forney, TX; son Kohl Searles of Grand Prairie, TX; and daughter Kennedy Searles Sanchez and husband Danny of Terrell, TX; stepdaughter Linda Darden Keller of Cleburne, TX; grandchildren Claire Sanchez; Joshua, Autumn, Amy and Nicky Darden; and half-sisters Jill Lund of Pottsboro, TX and Joni Searles of Chester, IL.

There will be a private graveside service at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas on Friday, June 19th, 2020.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Wade Family Funeral Home & Crematory, Arlington, TX. Flowers are welcome. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Melvin- Julian and myself are gonna miss you buddy. We will miss seeing you sitting at your desk, whining and complaining about every single thing that you could possibly think of lol....... ohhhh mannn this is hard....... I am so heartbroken. You were my best friend. I still can't believe that you are gone, but i know that you are resting peacefully and that you are in a much better place. We will definitely miss listening to your hilarious stories and your jokes! We love you Melvin!!! Rest in Heaven buddy!

Melvin Searles, I don't know what to say. I told Aileen and Kennedy I am that one you wanted to hate but hated more you loved me! I can only imagine what a wonderful, pain and illness free life you have now. Love you and miss you already.. I planted a tree in the back and named it Melvin,,, I hope I can keep it alive.
