Our prayers are with Jim and their children on this heart-numbing loss. We first met Micki in the early 1970's when we were all students at the University of Iowa. Even then, her beauty, warmth and humor were memorable and such a perfect match with Jim, the love of her life. We visited them in Dayton when all our children were small and recall the friendship and kindness. Our paths did not cross often enough in the years that followed, but we know how very much she will be missed.
Love,

I remember the first time I saw Micki after she and Jake had arrived at Travis AFB for h is residency. There was some party with dancing and I was overwhelmed by Micki's dancing skills.

We became friends over the years being stationed together in the USAF . Jake was helping me with some computer data at Jake's home once when Micki, innocently, turned on the vacuum cleaner, somehow overwhelming their electrical system, turning off the computer, and losing all the work we had done. We laughed later but it did not seem humorous at the time.

Micki will always be in our hearts and her laugh ringing in our ears. We first met at Travis AFB, Calif, and then joined up again and again: first Wright Pat AFB in Dayton, Ohio, and then Lackland AFB in San Antonio. We enjoyed countless hours and meals together. The cherry on top was the Mediterranean cruise both our families shared. We are so happy we were able to enjoy time with you both this past February. Heaven's gain, our sad loss.
