Patricia Ann (Pat) Collier Thompson

Pat was born on March 16, 1941 in Kemp Texas and went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2020 in
Mansfield, TX.

Pat greatly influenced her children and grandchildren with her love of the arts and the symphony. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and spoiled them often. She loved to play the piano and would often substitute for the pianist at her church, Tate Springs Baptist in Arlington. Pat and Roy were active members of Tate Springs Baptist Church for 30 + years. Pat volunteered and wrote the church bulletin, and both were very active in their Sunday School Class.

She and Roy loved to travel each year with their family and friends, as well as enjoying their personal cruises to Alaska, Mexico and the Mediterranean. She kept many journals and photo albums of their travels.

Pat retired from the U S Postal Service after 25 years of service. She began her career in 1967 and ended as the Station Manager of the Great Southwest Post Office in Arlington Texas. In 1993, upon her retirement she enrolled at The University of Texas Arlington and graduated Magna Cum Laude
In 1996. After her graduation, she worked for The Star Telegram as a journalist and reporter for a year and was then recruited by UTA to work in Public Relations. She later transferred to the Music Department in Communications. She retired a second time from UTA after ten years of employment.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Johnny Lee Abbey, father, Morris A Collier, brother, Steve Collier and son Richard Mitchell.

Pat is deeply missed and loved by her husband of 52 years, Roy, two sons Donny Mitchell and Keith Thompson and wife Teresa. Two daughters Debbie Hubbell and husband John, and Shari Covin and husband Bart. Six grandchildren: Geni Mitchell, Eric Hubbell and wife Ana, Holly Hubbell, Lauren Thompson and husband Brandon, Kyle Barnett, Hunter Covin and wife Jenna and Morgan Covin.
Five great grandchildren: Cameron Hubbell-Petang, Ezra Hubbell-Petang, Mali Hubbell-Petang,
