Obituary

Paul L. Tull passed away peacefully on January 30, 2021.

Visitation: 2-4 p.m. Sunday, February 7, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Paul was born January 21, 1932 to Fred and Annie Tull. He grew up around the Lorena-Waco area. Paul joined the Army at age 17. After the Army, he returned to Texas where he started a dairy farm in Lorina; he then married Diane Henderson. The couple were blessed with 3 children, Paula, Bobby and David. The drought took the dairy farm and the marriage.

Paul moved to Arlington, Texas and worked as a paint contractor by day and a maintenance painter at General Motors by night. In 1960 he married Vivian Cates who brought 3 lovely children from a previous marriage, Sharon, Connie and Nancy. Together they were blessed with a child, Dewey Cates.

After the marriage with Vivian ended, Paul married Bessie Lanette Goolsby. He retired from General Motors and spent his time building a new house, managing his cattle, and gardening.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Afton, Bill, Thomas and L.D.; sisters, Margaret DeLuca, Pauline Lazzaro, Louise Phillips, Ruby Tull, Betty Jean Bethke, Zena Greaser and Mildred Airehart; and step-daughter, Nancy Weir.

Survivors: Paul is survived by his children and a host of grandchildren.
