Bob Spoonts was, is, and will always be my Brother-in-Law and friend. He was kind and generous to people, and he had a unique sense of humor that he liked to try out on strangers and friends everywhere he went.
Bob taught my youngest brother how to play chess, and my brother has never forgotten him. I and all of my family will always miss him.

I remember attending Bob and Debbie's wedding years ago while I was an undergrad at the University of Arkansas. Bob was like a brother since we both shared interests. We loved aviation and the Navy. Bob had served onboard an aircraft carrier and I was trying to get into naval aviation. Although I was unable to serve in uniform, I later became an engineer working for the Navy. Bob and I would share our military travel experiences when we were able to get together. We also enjoyed telling jokes together and talk football when we crossed paths in NW Arkansas. We would tease each other as he was a Cowboy fan and I was a Steelers fan. I was looking forward to seeing him again this coming summer. My heart goes out to all of Bob's family and friends.

Bravo Zulu (Well Done), Bob! Fair Winds and Following Seas!
With the greatest of love and respect, Tom M.
