I am shocked to learn about Sandy's passing. We were classmates and close friends...My girlfriend in Jr. Hi. I worked for Frank during my school years when he sold air conditioners. He and Jennie were very kind to me. When they moved to El Dorado, Ark. we kept in touch. I visited them one summer and spent a couple of weeks with them. I told Sandra that her dad was a great friend to me, He paid me to work, let me drive his car (1957 Cadillac) and allowed me to date his daughter. It was a great time in my life to be associated with the Welch Family. I was wanting to talk to Sandra about a counseling problem and when I looked her up today, I was so surprised to find out she has passed away. I am so sorry for your loss and will pray God's blessings on your family. Joe Williams - CHS graduate 1962.

Tom, Lezlie and all our family, I am so deeply saddened by our loss of Sandy, truely one of my most favorite cousins. I love all my cousins, but Sandy was special to me. My memories of her go back to my earliest childhood days. I always loved being around her and of course her daddy was my favorite uncle Frank. I couldn't wait to go visit them any time in Port Lavaca, where I first held her baby girl Lezlie, whom she absolutely adored and was so proud of. Lezlie you are a wonderful loving and caring daughter, you were always there for your mother. For a lot of years as adults Sandy and I were able to spend some time together when she lived for a bit in Shreveport when I was living there, and then after she moved to Dallas, when I came to furniture market we always went out to dinner and dancing. She liked helping me spend my company expense account, we ate good! I am very proud of the fact that I introduced Sandy to my friend Tom, who has been her loving husband for 40 years! She was nuts about Tom from the day they met. Thank you Tom for all the love and care you gave Sandy. I loved her laugh and her great sense of humor and we always joked around, mostly about some of our many crazy Welch family stories. I am so glad to know in my heart that Sandy loved our Lord Jesus Christ and has served Him for many years. I know she is now enjoying her reward and having a great time celebrating in heaven with her loving parents, my Uncle Frank and Aunt Jennie May. All my love to all the family and may God's peace that passes all understanding be with each one. RIP my dearest Sandy! I will miss you and you have a special place in my heart forever! James Allen Welch
